WEDDINGS

Marriage is a momentous moment and a sacred act in which two people, before God, commit to becoming one, sharing all of life’s gifts, surprises and obstacles. Here at Emmanuel U.C.C. we welcome the opportunity to be a part of such an important and holy event. We know that every relationship is different and the decisions that go into planning a wedding can be difficult. Therefore, we tailor each wedding ceremony to fit the couple's needs and faith beliefs. 

 

Regardless if you wish to be married in our beautiful sanctuary, or at home, or at one of the magnificent outdoor vistas that Florida has to offer, our Pastor is here to work alongside you to create a ceremony that worships God and celebrates your love.

The use of the Sanctuary is $500 for non-members; this covers both the rehearsal and wedding service.  If use of the Fellowship Hall is desired, the fee is $200 per day.  This includes use of the kitchen.  All cleaning, handling of furniture and equipment owned by Emmanuel UCC shall be done by our Property Ministry Team.  The positions of our called Pastor and Organist are salaried positions, established to fulfill normal responsibilities.  Therefore it is necessary for families who arrange weddings to provide recompense to these professionals for their time and effort in preparing for and leading the worship service.  The Pastor participates in all worship services and requires three pre-martial sessions with the couple to discuss the wedding ceremony and to get to know the couple better.  The Pastor’s fee for a wedding is $200.  The Organist’s fee is $200.  If you wish to have a soloist for the ceremony, the church will provide one for $100.  

 

All weddings performed at Emmanuel UCC will be conducted by the settled Pastor and Organist.  Other pastors or musicians may be welcome to participate in the worship service at discretion of the Pastor and Organist.  Together they will work on creating a worship service that is pleasing to the couple and true to the United Church of Christ’s theology.  If the Pastor or Organist is unable to perform the service, an alternate may be arranged.  However, the permission of the settled Pastor and Organist must be obtained in advance.  All fees must be paid in advance to the Financial Secretary, made out to Emmanuel U.C.C.
